A review
The year is winding to its tightest point: the fullness of Christmas madness and then the release of the New Year celebrations ....and then we start all over again ....
I think I will call it a day having run the cycle of a calender year of posting odd pics from here and there .... You see I have found that I am not a blogger!
Yes it has been fun to share some images and to 'meet" some special people along the way but I find I lack the necessary urge to post on a regular basis which I now realise is the currency of the movement... And the one sided nature of putting images and occasional thoughts out there into the void does not answer my enjoyment of 'dialogue'. So it's back to more focused communications and filling friends in-boxes now and again with emailed random pics ....and for them that carp about their internet connections' slow download time or the size of their mail boxes maybe I will resort to web albums or even flickr. We'll see...
But the experiment has been worth while in that it got me looking at other blogs and developing my understanding of the range of things that are out there to discover. Hey I've even started looking at Twitter occasionally ... not the "had beans on toast for lunch today" variety... but some of the ones that tell of exhibitions and shows and even products that I might have missed ... it's all good: you access what you want and leave the rest. Just another info stream. I don't think I will ever explore the delights of Linked In or Face Book but thats because I realise I am a more consumer than an untargeted sharer....

EYEPICTURES: Photographs of things I have noticed along the way...
A Paris Weekend
to Paris to see a friend who'd come all the way from the southern hemisphere for another friend's birthday festivities...and down time. Bright weather meant that it was easy and enjoyable to walk lots and enjoy the sights of the streets as we wandered between gallery destinations, coffee shops and the flea market too. The pictures below are of random things that took my eye ... much went unrecorded but that is fine too: all part of the greater whole
in passing .... food matters !
I have been lucky enough to go to South Korea several times and as a result aquired a love for the diverse cuisine of that land. Not everything mind you, but there is some seriously good food to be enjoyed there. Its just a matter of teaming up with some one you know and trust that also loves food and is a local .... the best food is ordered by request rather than from a menu. One of the first things that you learn about is kimchee.... there are many kinds of kimchee and they are all served as side dishes as part of the main meal, effectively they may be thought of as pickles and relishes, balancing a meal. The internet now abounds with recipes and DIY instruction on how to make your own but I still think that there is an element of alchemy there that makes such an addictive product from such simple ingredients ....
